Literature Text

To you, my beloved sweetheart
For whom I’ve saved a place
In the most vulnerable part of my being -
Without whom I lay to waste

Many days I pine away in sadness,
Many tears in grief I’ve shed,
For the days that have passed without you,
For the good times we could have had.

I’ve longed to hold you in my arms;
To be by your side day after day;
But time and passion have not been kind
And have provided no such way.

For now I have to love you from afar
As it has always been,
Till the day I can be with you forever
In the flesh, not just in mere dreams.
a product of momentarary emotion. May not be particular good, but this was what i felt at that point in time

I'd say that this piece rates at least an 8 out of 10. Now, I'm picky about this, so I'm going to give you my opinion on your rhyming: it's a little forced or awkward. I mean, rhyming "shed" with "had," and "been" with "dreams" stretches it a little. But the emotion is powerful! I especially like the end. That's the important part, so don't listen much to my stupid rhyme problem! Nice work.
